- Peggie Cosgrove Added 06/08/2017★ ★ ★ ★ ★I have used the library's online catalog to locate a history of my Forde family, originally MacCosnemha and later Macanawe, that goes back (as a subset of a clan) to the 15th century. There also was the name of a more contemporary history that included Forde that a young cousin of mine who works in Dublin was able to put his hands on in the National Library. He took good notes for me.
The staff, and particularly Mary Bohan, are quite helpful. I've also used the genealogy researchers who are located in the same building.
I am so happy that Co. Leitrim has invested in up to date technology and media and new books while preserving the past for exploration.
